I've just had the most amazing ramen noodles for lunch and I'd go as far as saying they're the best I can ever remember eating in London. Monohon ramen is a very small restaurant in Old Street just a few moments walk from the roundabout. Their noodles are made daily using specialist Japanese flour and the creamy, umami-rich bone broth is simmered for 24 hours while being meticulously monitored for flavour and viscosity.
I chose shoyu tonkotsu with a couple of additional toppings, menma (preserved bamboo shoots) and hanjuku-tamago (soft boiled eggs) which are cooked for precisely 6 minutes and 10 seconds, then marinated for 2 days!
I advise all nearby noodle lovers to pay a visit and just fyi, when you're at that tube station labyrinth, it's Subway 3.
